I'm fine if it is humourless. It is a fucking war movie.

What a stupid article. They are worried because there isn't any force or lightsabers, but that there might be overuse of other Star Wars stuff? It isn't like there are thousands of Jedi running around all the time, but there are thousands of stormtroopers, etc. so I don't know what they are talking about.

I don't need to read anything else about this movie. I'm ready. I just want to see it and be knocked the fuck out.

For those wondering, Giacchino did not score that new trailer.

Alastair Stephens gets into this a bit in his final (so far) Story and Star Wars podcast. It's worth a listen if you haven't yet.

I get their reluctance to enjoy the movie. It's the first bit of EU that's been put to screen so that's daunting to someone who looks at the wall of Star Wars books available. I've read a few of those books so this doesn't phase me. Maybe they should read a few of those terrible books to be aware of what they could be getting.

And thanks for the recommendation.

This is what we talked about the other day. Nobody is harder on a thing than the self Entitled superfans of the thing. If it doesn't tick every box of their personal demand list, they rail against it.

In a way I hope this film is a massive success with joe public and leaves the Star Wars sweaties screaming that it's awful. They're gonna do it anyways a lot of them.

I'm sure that's what the Solo movie will be.

It's a clickbait article, but their point about the dialogue has been on my mind as well.

Isn't the dialogue in most blockbuster trailers "on the nose"?

Lot of speculation about the dialogue in the film. What if it's all cheesy and eye roll inducing?

The dialogue in this trailer is no more cheesy nor eye-roll inducing than any of the dialogue in the previous 7 Star Wars films. This is a dumb complaint.
