In the end I don't reach for either album very often, but then, I don't reach for "No Code" all that often either -- certain PJ albums feel very easy to place for me ("Yield" at the top, "LB" at the bottom, for instance), but after that they all sort of just have their place in that vague, generalized "albums by my favorite band" sort of way. I don't know. Rankings are fleeting.
I reach for LB way more than I reach for BS or ST or even No Code (though ST and No Code are clearly better records). I genuinely like LB whereas BS has actually gotten worse for me over the years. I used to like it a lot more. Maybe the same will happen with LB, though I doubt it. It's been far more interesting to me from first listen. I actively like that record.
I can see where one would prefer "LB," I just personally have no connection to it at all. Plus it has more PJ songs that I just flat out fucking hate than any of their other albums.

For all its weaknesses, some of the songs on "Backspacer" at least struck a chord with me personally.
Yes and yes, KD. BS has some mediocre songs but LB has 3-4 of their worst songs.

If it sounds that way, it's just because Eddie oversimplifies "More Than You Know" on the uke. The original composition has virtually nothing in common with "Come Back."

The both have an odd 50s ballad thing off them. It's just the rhythm maybe.

I totally get that. Because that's exactly how I feel about LB. Some of those songs really resonate with me. But I totally get why they don't for others.

I wouldn't put any of LB in the bottom 5 of their catalog.

The jerk store called and they're all out of you.
This joke makes no sense. Unless you have some kind of jerk fetish, why would they notify you of stock changes?

What if you're the jerk distributor and the store is calling because they're all out and need more?

I had submitted a customer inquiry online, about the cost for a 12-pack of jerks; I had been expecting to hear back on their availability.
I have a 12 pack bag of dicks, so let me know.

Just out of interest what's post-Vitalogy airplay like in the US? In the UK you'll be lucky to hear something from Ten, VS next to nothing, Vitalogy pretty much zilch and after that you can forget it. Maybe that's why I love their recent stuff so much, because their post-Vitalogy songs are "my" songs? If you're in some club and some chavette is dancing to Justin Timberlake, then the Zephyr song, you're thinking it's not really your song anymore. And then you wonder if they sold out releasing the Zephyr song as a single, and after the album was released at that, and then it can go from there.

What amazes me is the entire that Pearl Jam have seemingly sold out. If they have, it hasn't really worked out for them has it? Some people think the definition of selling out is playing a gig of more than 11 songs, Eddie playing on some of the songs and the band not looking like it was put together by the record industry...
So basically, Johnson and May spent Trump's presidency fighting each other over how best to sell the NHS to Trump.
