I think your argument is with the public, more than some conspiracy on the part of the media. The national broadcast networks lean into the content that drives higher ratings, and Trump drives rating. People turn on the television when the Donald is on and turn it off when Syria pops up. I would love to see more in-depth coverage of some of these issues (which, coincidentally, would push everything unearthed about the Clintons from the WikiLeaks releases even further off the front page), but I also agree with chud that it's impossible to argue that the Republican nominee for president might be a habitual sexual assaulter is not a massive story

That's what it is. They're going to put the stories on the top that are most likely to generate clicks. It's the inherent problem with capitalist journalism.

That isn't all of it. Many of these networks also desperately want Trump to lose the election. To be clear, I desperately want Trump to lose the election. He most certainly should lose the election. But that doesn't change the fact that most news media outlets routinely act in a biased way against candidates they don't like. At least recognize it. Be aware of it, even if you agree with it.
