Why release this new edition with JJs commentary, only on 3D blu ray?
I mean that's beyond niche. They'd make far more money making it a regular DVD blue Ray release surely?

I'm sure the commentary is on the 2D Blu-ray that's included in the set, no?

Source? I find that extremely unlikely. Like, that would be unprecedented.dimejinky99 wrote:LoathedVermin72 wrote:I'm sure the commentary is on the 2D Blu-ray that's included in the set, no?

Yeah, I'm gonna go ahead and say this isn't true. The only way that would make sense is if they were being cheap and just throwing in the exact same 2D Blu-ray from the previous release. But I found pictures of the 2D discs and they have different images on them, so that's not the case. I would bet money the commentary is on the 2D disc as well as the 3D disc.LoathedVermin72 wrote:Source? I find that extremely unlikely. If you'd read the blurb attached with those images you'd see. The commentary is only on the 3D blu ray

Do you mean this?
Because that is not saying the new features are only on the 3D disc; it is saying they are only available in the physical package and may not be available digitally.Digital bonus offerings may vary by retailer. New bonus content is available in the 3D Collector’s Edition package only.

Those look like 2 separate statements to me and that the new bonus content is only available in the 3d Collectors edition.LoathedVermin72 wrote:Do you mean this?

I think that is exactly what it is saying

"3D Collector's Edition Package" does not mean "only on the 3D disc." A 2D disc is included in that package.Strat wrote:"Because that is not saying the new features are only on the 3D disc"LoathedVermin72 wrote:Uhh...that's what I said?Strat wrote:Those look like 2 separate statements to me and that the new bonus content is only available in the 3d Collectors edition.LoathedVermin72 wrote:Do you mean this?

I own like 2000 Blu-rays/DVDs. I am familiar with the terminology.

Ok well all the podcasts I listen to are all failing about it and it's very clear in the blurb the commentary is only on the 3D bluray. We have a trump already LV. Don't be another. Surplus to requirement.

It is not "very clear" at all. Nothing in that announcement states that. As I said, I am very familiar with Blu-ray terminology and press releases. Again, I'd love for you to tell me exactly where it says that.dimejinky99 wrote:Ok well all the podcasts I listen to are all failing about it and it's very clear in the blurb the commentary is only on the 3D bluray. I guess we'll find out for sure once this thing actually comes out.

What? That is the announcement. It is a 3D Collector's Edition. And like most/all 3D Collector's Editions, it also includes a 2D disc. Nothing in that announcement states the commentary is only on the 3D disc; just that it is exclusive to this Collector's Edition.dimejinky99 wrote:LV.
