Totally agree.
spenno is right.
Yep, for sure.

I don't think a casual fan pays attention of who a drummer is in a band unless they sing or they are absolutely incredible. Dave A was neither.

Man, I don't think, in 21 years of following this band, I've ever heard one person not on the internet so much as mention Dave Abbruzzese -- not casual fans, not big fans, not anyone. Just my experience, I guess.

Easily my favorite, but I still don't think he has an unimpeachable claim to a HOF invite, under the rules as I've read them here.

I have no idea who Cindy Blackman is.

Pearl Jam were huge when Dave Abbruzzese was in the band, way bigger than virtually any of their contemporaries. Abbruzzese is a part of that legacy in a way than none of their other drummers are.

Pearl Jam circa 1991-1994 is the only Pearl Jam most people know. Or even want to know; when your average casual fan comes along to their first Pearl Jam show in 2016 or whenever, it's that band they want to see a rough approximation of.

Once again, totally agree.

Cindy Blackman was Lenny Kravitz's drummer back around the same time. She was in the Are You Gonna Go My Way video. I want to say she's married to Carlos Santana now.

Yes, and should they ever happen into a Hall of Fame museum (there's an actual museum, right?), presumably the majority of the material will be focused on that era.
true are they going to like photoshop Dave A out of all those photos?

They really need to include Jack and Dave in this. Even if the Hall of Fame does not recognize them, the band needs to bring those two up there with them if they get inducted. They were not simply session players and wrote songs and contributed to the albums they performed on, and the live performances they were are a part of. It would be petty if the bands excludes them from the stage.

Yeah but it will be one of those moments where they haven't toured lately, and Ed's vocals will sound alright bc of it. Plus, he always turns it on for big time performances
