This the answer in which I honestly said I had no fucking clue what Trump is talking about. It also assures that Gary Johnson doesn't win the worst answer regarding Aleppo.

Well, Aleppo is a disaster. It's a humanitarian nightmare. But it has fallen from any standpoint. I mean, what do you need, a signed document? Take a look at Aleppo. It is so sad when you see what's happened. And a lot of this is because of Hillary Clinton. Because what has happened is by fighting Assad, who turned out to be a lot tougher than she thought, and now she is going to say, “Oh, he loves Assad.” He's just much tougher and much smarter than her and Obama. And everyone thought he was gone two years ago, three years ago. He aligned with Russia. He now also aligned with Iran, who we made very powerful. We gave them $150 billion back. We give them $1.7 billion in cash. I mean cash, bundles of cash as big as this stage. We gave them $1.7 billion.

Now they have aligned, he has aligned with Russia and with Iran. They don't want ISIS. But they have other things because we're backing, we're backing rebels. We don't know who the rebels are. We're giving them lots of money, lots of everything. We don't know who the rebels are. And when and if, and it's not going to happen because you have Russia and you have Iran now. But if they ever did overthrow Assad, you might end up as bad as Assad is, and he is a bad guy.

But you may very well end up with worse than Assad. If she did nothing, we'd be in much better shape. And this is what has caused the great migration where she has taken in tens of thousands of Syrian refugees who probably in many cases, not probably, who are definitely in many cases ISIS-aligned. And we now have them in our country and wait until you see this is going to be the great Trojan horse.

And wait until you see what happens in the coming years. Lots of luck, Hillary. Thanks a lot for doing a great job.

I don't think anyone doubts that Hillary is well educated, highly capable, and a skilled politician. The question has been who exactly is she fighting for?

I grew up in a town with one road and about 16 houses. My driveway was 2.5 miles long and it was another mile to the next house. My closest (distance) friend lived about 15 minutes away and down a one-lane blacktop, and my best friend lived almost 25 minutes away - also down one-lane roads. And we all went to the same schools, and the high school had about 500 kids in it. So I know exactly what that article is talking about. There's no service in the area unless you're serving each other and at that point where's the money coming from? The snake eats itself and eventually dies.

If I moved back home, I could by a house twice as big as what I have now for about 3/4 the price. Shoot, I could go for acreage - a lot of acreage - but that presupposes that I would be paid the same as I am now. Coal is just about the only thing big in the area there and even that's going down.

I completely understand what would drive someone to worry about this stuff. What I don't understand is how they keep from blaming the businesses for going overseas and closing the local plants down. I didn't understand it when I was in high school and twenty-odd years later I still don't. If you take money out of employees hands, what are they going to buy your stuff with? You take their jobs, you raise the prices, and somehow expect everyone to keep buying your stuff.

The weird part is that they do keep buying it, for the most part. There's gotta be a break point, and maybe we're on the cusp of that. Star Trek we ain't, but we need to get there or the poor/homeless problem will start to grow too quickly for help to make a difference.

I hear you. I grew up in South Dakota, and saw both the desperation and the reflexive pride of place (never understood it, but saw it).

But I went back a few years ago, and near-death towns like Madison and Mitchell, which were perennially contracting throughout my youth, were now swollen with new immigrants. Factories that used to be so desperate for workers that they would hold your job for your entire 3 year prison sentence (really) now had a reliable labor force, and many had new facilities. New restaurants and clothing stores were everywhere. So were anti-immigration signs and redneck intimidation efforts.

I do find the stories from Bune and McParadigm fascinating as it's part of the US I just never saw. Particularly the viewpoint of people who have moved away and have some distance before seeing what those areas are like today.

My only experience is the coastal cities (and a little bit of Texas and Vegas), but even from that perspective I find myself constantly disagreeing with Australians who try to make generalisations about America and really can't seem to understand that the whole "50 states = 50 different countries" statement has a lot of truth to it.
