Beyonce is an incredible performer, no doubt. I just don't really care for her songs or voice. Too many vocal runs.

It's how the industry is run these days. The song writers are so happy to get a placement on a big-name album, they are happy to fork over their ownership in exchange for the residuals a 10% stake will get them.
That makes all the sense in the world to me, actually.

I get that. It wasn't until recently that I started to appreciate her. Lemonade was a big gateway album for me.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

I do feel like I should go on record as saying that I do think Beyonce is probably overrated as an artist. Generally speaking. But by no means do I think she's the single most overrated artist of our time or whatever. But I would probably concede that she is overrated to a degree.

I can see that. I disagree. But only just. Like I said, I'm a pretty new Beyonce fan. But once it clicked, it clicked all the way. I think she's super talented and I really love listening to her music.

I can safely assume almost 0%. Very, very few pop acts are writing their own music these days. Taylor Swift and Kanye are anomalies, and I think Kanye has been outsourcing a lot of his songs for a while now. Don't believe the credits in the liner note; Rihanna is a known credit-stealer.
Laura Burhenn will tell you that T Swift is not writing her own stuff.
I remember this conversation.
