Always happens this to me too...Is really good...and live its fucking awesome.durdencommatyler wrote:I put on LB the other night after a couple of weeks away. Yellow Moon started and I got so jazzed. It's not like I forgot it was on the record or anything. But I was surprised how excited I got when it started. Great tune.

Re: Yellow Moon
Despite this being a decent addition to the live set, I still find the studio version a bit bland. I almost forget about it until it comes on. It's not a bad song, but it really doesn't do much for me. A bit too straightforward and lacking interesting guitar work.
I used to crave these stately types of songs from PJ too.

This one has fallen most for me in the last couple months. I still like it and think its a good addition to the live sets, but I don't love it like I did before.

Really gotta be in the mood for this one. Makes me wish there was less of this kind of thing on the record and more getaways

This song is pretty good. I think if it was recorded during the Binaural era it could be a great song.

This has fallen for me. I found it a bit tedious on last listen.

Re: Song of the Moment: Yellow Moon
Sometimes I think the question of production hindering a song can be overblown, but in this instance I agree entirely. It's a fine song that was captured very poorly by O'Brien.Leatherhead wrote:This song is pretty good. I think if it was recorded during the Binaural era it could be a great song.

Just listened to this and I'm surprised how much I still like it. Probably the best song from the album.

Re: Song of the Moment: Yellow Moon
I prefer this to low light, by a lot. I love the way the opening moments create this enveloping space, though I agree the way the song is captured doesn't quite showcase its full potential (especially the dynamics during the bridge/outro)rick malone wrote:Its okay but its really just a poor mans Low Light
