Re: MLB
As a Boston fan, this is a hard choice.
Cubs...why?
Theo
Lester
Shit load of time since last WS win
Cleveland...why?
Tito
Shit load of time since last WS win.
Gotta go with Cleveland. Hated how BoSox management smeared Tito on his way out of town. Also, two titles for Cleveland in the same year? Why the fuck not?

Fuck the Cubs. Cubs fans are worse than Yankees and Red Sox fans. Go Indians. Go American League.

All fan bias aside, Cleveland sitting on their ass for almost a week isn't going to play out well for them.

The hitting might start out slow but it can only be good for the pitching staff.verb_to_trust wrote:All fan bias aside, Cleveland sitting on their ass for almost a week isn't going to play out well for them.
And recent history shows more time off really doesn't mean much.

Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. But Cleveland seems to be the type of team that was benefiting from their momentum. If I was an Indians fan I'd be really nervous about the time off.Joesanity wrote:The hitting might start out slow but it can only be good for the pitching staff.verb_to_trust wrote:All fan bias aside, Cleveland sitting on their ass for almost a week isn't going to play out well for them.

Kind of like the 07 Rockies, though I like this Cleveland team better than them.

I like that the loser gets the "longest World Series drought" title. There's a lot on the line here.
It still seems crazy that, of all the teams to make the LCS the last two years, the Jays have the most recent World Series win.

Cubs already hold it, so I guess pressure's on the Indians!philpritchard wrote:I like that the loser gets the "longest World Series drought" title. There's a lot on the line here.
