This is actually quite depressing in retrospect.

I saw Asheville and Orlando (Kissimmee). What felt great about both was Pearl Jam taking chances and not relying on heavy hitters. The smaller venues were a novelty as well. I saw 7 shows in 2003 and none with less than 18,000 people. These two VFC shows had 8,000 tops. Ed didn't sound as good in 2004 as he did in '03 or '05, but the shows were special. They were intense and punchy.

I am glad I saw them on VFC, but if I had a time machine that could only go back to '03, '04 or '05, I would head back to '05.
But if you went back to '03 you could see all of them again...

Thanks for the pic. I'll use it as a CD label when I burn it to CD (yes, sometimes I still do that).

Glad that they're doing the international orders first. Will probably still be a couple of weeks wait after those of you in the US get yours before mine arrives though

So, why the fuck do they cut these shows up? I noticed that DTE from Live on Two Legs was taken from this show (and i think some different vocals spliced in on occasion) so i looked live on two legs up on Wiki. I also notice that Off He Goes was taken from this show. but its not on the Vault Release version. So its good enough for Live on Two Legs but not this release? However, Present Tense is good enough even though Ed botches the first verse? And live at the orpheum they take out the solo section that was a mess

I dont understand, pj.

It's nice to have an official version of this one. One thing that was really good about that tour was they weren't ripping through Corduroy and Given to Fly, and every other song they've sped up over the course of their career.

The Yield Tour may be the finest Ed's voice has sounded too.

Yeah, he's probably my 3rd fave PJ drummer, but if I was just looking at individual years I'd probably rate him in '98 above any other.

I was just listening to Lo2L in the car the other day again and was taken aback by his glorious work on GtF. So good.
