It still seems crazy that, of all the teams to make the LCS the last two years, the Jays have the most recent World Series win.

The most recent WS win when they entered the LCS, obviously.CopperTom wrote:Ummmmmm.... KCphilpritchard wrote:I like that the loser gets the "longest World Series drought" title. There's a lot on the line here.

I don't know. He's a natural but it's been a long time since he's faced major league pitching. I'm not expecting much out of him but the alternatives like Soler haven't looked great either so why not...

Kluber has got some nasty stuff. That third strike on Addison Russell was something else.

Again, I have to ask: A-Rod, why you gotta be so charming and engaging on TV?

Pretty impressive Miller getting out of that. Bases loaded no outs. Go Indians

Well at least the Schwarber thing doesn't look like a mistake. He was very patient up there even if some of his swings were ugly.

Re: MLB
I'm happy for him, but I'm sick of hearing all over sports talk this morning that his performance last night was "legendary" and "miraculous". He was 1-3 with two strikeouts. And yes he hasn't played a major league game this year, but he did do rehab in the minors, right? Is it all that miraculous that he got one hit?verb_to_trust wrote:Well at least the Schwarber thing doesn't look like a mistake. He was very patient up there even if some of his swings were ugly.

Re: MLB
It's the same injury that Marcus Stroman had last year, and he came back two weeks earlier than Schwarber. Stroman got the same "miraculous return" treatment, but I think at this point it's fair to say it just doesn't take that long to come back from a torn ACL.E.H. He really is. He was a lot of fun to watch last October, too. He hit some huge homeruns.
