This is absurd. The production on No Code is the best of any Pearl Jam album.durdencommatyler wrote:No Code is probably my 2nd favorite PJ album until Habit. From that point on it's touch and go. Super uneven, to these ears. Couple that with the sort of muted underwater quality to the production and I have to rank it beneath Backspacer.VinylGuy wrote:Backspacer over no code? 4. Yield (this has gained a lot of ground over the past year; may move up even more)

7. No Code
8. Pearl Jam
9. Binaural
Some of those have actually changed a bit since the last time I ranked them. That's interesting to see.
But be glad, I used to have it ranked under S/T as well. Only recently did it move up to the 7th spot for me.

Ten's moved up a few spots. I like Binaural, but they left most of the best material from those sessions off the finished album. If I were including those songs, it would easily sneak up at least one more spot.

I just calls 'em like I hears 'em. If No Code was only 9 tracks it would be my #2.Birds in Hell wrote:Yeah, this is quite a jarring revelation, Joey.cutuphalfdead wrote:This is absurd. Riot Act is so full. The sound has so much room, so much depth. It's warm and round.
In fact, I'd say Riot Act and Yield and Vitalogy sound better than No Code. Maybe Binaural too.
