first round of reviews are in. Apparently the effects and visuals are amazing, and the cast turns in strong performances in what is a somewhat lackluster narrative.

I saw a rumor that they could also be leaning into alternate realities and this would allow for new casts of old roles.

Question for those of you that are going to see this in the theaters: are you buying into the marketing of this that says it is "one of the rare movies worth seeing in 3D"?

Had a workmate see this in 2D who said he wished he'd seen it in 3D

I am, too. Everyone I've talked that has seen it in 2D have said they wish they'd seen it in 3D.

I was planning to wait for this to come out on blu ray, but judging by the stronger-than-expected reviews I may have to go see this puppy in the theater
