so my yield reissue finally arrived and i was disappointed to find it doesn't have Hummus (the song) on it. it also doesn't have a booklet, just the inner photos on the back of the vinyl sleeve. did the original yield have a booklet?

I'm much happier with a $25 reissue of the original packaging than an overstuffed $80 collectors version

yeah, i don't remember the deets but i remember jeff mentioning it in an interview around the time of the reissue.

From what I can recall of that interview the reddy/pinkish colour was a mess up with the pressing plant and the band had the option of getting it redone with the intended sepia colour but it was going to push the release date back maybe 6 months into the next record company cycle and the band already had tours booked so they just lived with it.

The version that everybody got to know as the Ten album cover was pink and it was originally intended to be more of a burgundy colour and the picture of the band was supposed to be black and white. I felt this reissue was an opportunity to go back and finish what we started."

I didn't need them to redesign the packaging for the reissues, but it would have been nice if they'd offered something that wasn't already available. Given the ho hum reception for remastered version of No Code, something like the boxed sets with b-sides and outtakes and some cool collectible stuff would have been nice.
