My mother-in-law is a Raiders fan (grew up in Oakland) so I hear worse than that every Sunday. I don't think he's too off the mark.

Damnit, I wish I could read more. Writing a dissertation is like the worst thing you can do if you like to read. I have like 120 books on my next-up list. I did read Titus Andronicus a few weeks ago, and that was pretty good.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Then the last chapter is going to be on the internet and podcasts or something.

It's ok. You and about 10 million other people enjoyed that book. But it was nails on chalkboard for me.

Why though? I'm not clear why it grated on you.
