That would be good news, but all I could find was registered Dems v. registered Repubs, not who they actually voted for.

It's hard to read Florida at all right now. The early voting numbers are so much greater than the norm (more people have already voted there this year than voted in 2000) that Tuesday is impossible to predict.

It seems that as long as she can hang onto PA, VA, MI and WI it would be very difficult for her not to win. If she holds those and gets Nevada, she can afford to lose Ohio, Florida, NH and North Carolina and still win. I think I would start getting fairly nervous if Trump wins one of those early on.

A law enforcement official later told CNN no charges were filed against Crites.

After he was released from custody, Crites told reporters the incident started off when he raised a "Republicans Against Trump" sign.
Crites said he was then assaulted by a group of people around him before anyone shouted anything about a gun.

"All of a sudden, because they couldn't grab the sign, or whatever happened, bam, I get tackled by all these people who were just, like, kicking me and grabbing me in the crotch and just, just beating the crap out of me," Crites said, according to KTNV. "And somebody yells something about a gun, and so that's when things really got out of hand."

Dan Scavino Jr., Trump's social media director, and Donald Trump Jr., the nominee's oldest son, retweeted Jack Posobiec, a supporter who wrote: "Hillary (Clinton) ran away from rain today. Trump is back on stage minutes after assassination attempt."
But the Secret Service statement made clear no weapon had been found. Neither has deleted the retweet.

I know I'm coming at this probably with a few posts making a point but here goes:

I think the whole reason someone yelled "gun" is because they saw the sign. They were so pissed at it that they wanted to hurt the person (which they did, I've seen those reports of him being sat on) but they also wanted to take the current gun-happy police narrative and do a variation of suicide by cop in that if they said he had a gun, the police would shoot him instead of asking questions.

Paranoid? I really don't think so especially given how insane they were in the first place to yell "gun" in a crowded room.

I'm not sure that's how they see it, Strat. I think they're feeling more like, "We shouldn't have to go to college to earn a living wage, but our industrial/blue-collar jobs have all gone away." Your advice to "get educated, learn new skills, and evolve" disregards the realities of their situations: that a higher education isn't something they can, or perhaps want, to make happen, and they're getting left in the dust. I think this is the definition of the liberal culpability mentioned earlier.

Also: The cost of college is growing instead of staying in line with wages and inflation, is it not? It's just not worth it. I want to get a second degree so I can move ahead at work but it's too prohibitive. And I say this as a person who works full time and due to my military disability my house and all bills are paid for before I even take a dollar home.

Some crazy woman was babbling incoherently on OnPoint this morning, about how the polls were wrong because people are really feeling Hillary now that Comey's shut down his investigation again. Yammering about the inherent goodness of people, the US would never pick Trump, blah blah blah. I was thinking, "Wow, this woman is delusional and obviously lives in some sort of democratic bubble." And then it was revealed that she's the Governor of Michigan!

Strat, my point is that you seem to be looking down on the Trump supporters, and I totally get it -- I have those feelings too sometimes. But that attitude is just going to further the divide. The ideal candidate would be one who could have addressed both ends of the spectrum (the highly educated and affluent, and the uneducated and poor), and then made a case for boosting the middle class in such a way as to pull the poor people up, and keep the rich people happy and comfortable. Neither of the candidates have done that, and so we're all forced to vote for Divisive Platform #1 or Divisive Platform #2.

This thread looks like a great discussion and I wish I had more time to participate in it. To your point Trag, I think Bernie was on the right track to do what you were talking about. I don't know how any democratic candidate is going to be able to bridge the divide created by conservative media. I know there are uninformed democratic voters, but the crazy things that normal people are sold on conservative media keeps them from looking at issues objectively. For example, my mom and dad (in their 70's) are solid middle class people who go to church two or three times a week and are good to their Mexican neighbors (ie. my mom got certified in a reading program so she could help her undocumented neighbors learn how to read), but they both believe that Obama is intentionally trying to degrade our nation. They think he has plans to change the American flag. They think the estate tax is sacred and taxes should be cut for the job creators even though they are on a fixed income and rely on social security and medicare. How can a great politician bridge a barrage of false information that people choose to listen to day and night (alex jones, the blaze, fox news, etc.)?

PS. Hillary will win bigger than people think. I'm guessing 340's and Texas is going to be within 2 points.
