one of my favorite fruits.
show a little love for the nectarine, guys- it's a real summertime fruit for me, goes hand in hand with grilling hot dogs and going to the beach.

I love them, but there's a fine line between a perfect nectarine and a terrible one. Often times I notice they're WAY too hard for my liking (usually the white variety).

completely agree. really good nectarines go flat tasting and pulpy fast, and I'm shy of white nectarines for the same reason.
the thing is when they're good, they're actually perfect.

also agree with this statement - peaches can't come close for me unless the fuzzy skin is peeled off. I can't stand the feeling of it - it's like nails on a blackboard

also, the best thing to do with an underripe nectarine is to grill it. there exists no better summertime dessert.

skip the blue cheese, because blue cheese sucks. this also works with peaches, plums, and pretty much every summertime fruit.
