The NYPD are providing security around the perimeter of both locations (Trump's camp and Hillary's). Protestors and supporters of both candidates are expected to convene in the area later today.

i realize there is an ungodly amount of americans who don't vote; so a couple million increase is not just population increase necessarily;

but the country is getting more populous every day... and it'd be helpful to know how many more first-time voting age people there are since 4 years ago

Depends upon your state. As unaffiliated, I get to vote in the primaries (actually, I get to pick my ballot at the primaries), but in some states, unaffiliated get locked out of primaries.
