Have to think some of the tour coverage frustrations in the USA are due to fanbois who will drop hotel and plane money for good old fashioned grunge rock. I have never been to a show not in Illinois or a bordering state....I do my part to keep the whole supply and demand thing real. I wish others would do the same. Unless you live in South Dakota or something you shouldn't be flying to rock shows.
is that any more of an unreasonable reaction than boycotting a show you otherwise want to see (and have the resources to see) because, in a country the size of a continent, the band isn't playing every large and medium sized city?
Don't be an such an apologist. Unless there are plans to tour next Spring/Summer its completely reasonable to take issue with this "mini tour". There is a big difference between "not playing every single medium sized city" and what this band has done tour wise for the last several years now. It actually doesn't bother me much, I've seen the band plenty of times (many of which were when they still made interesting music). I'm simply pointing out that if fans didn't enable cherry picking on the band's part, maybe they would be forced to suck it up and at least make a half assed effort to do a real North American tour.

I think not wanting to travel is a perfectly reasonable response. I think if you lived in an area that doesn't get shows often being frustrated is reasonable. However, I think deciding that you still want to see the band even if it isn't convenient doesn't warrant the derogatory 'fanboi' comment. That seems just as reasonable a reaction as deciding you don't want to go.

I also suspect that people traveling hundreds of miles to see shows is NOT what makes or breaks a venue, but I have no data to back that up.

I don't think I'm an apologist for the band (I'm sure others will see me that way). I do think that getting mad at someone for wanting to go see a show is basically the negative side of the same extreme behavior people complain about on the main board.

The obligatory horsehead guy is one of my favorite parts of going to a live show these days. Right up there with gorilla suit wearer.

Hopefully you'll end up off the floor in one of the side loge sections. Those are the best places to sit in an arena anyway.

I wish I had renewed my ten club membership after seeing that the GA seats are strictly for ten club members. Dallas the day before my birthday and I don't even have a chance of GA. Damn.... :-(

these kinda tours arent new for the band, but the way they built this up, you'd kinda expect more w/ this announcement. at least a decent sized tour.

whatever, i live next to philly.

So when do we find out if we got tickets or not? Was it like a week from now or will it be right before the public sale?

I read the fine print and it sounded like winners will be drawn and notified on the 15th.

One more question
I put my first choice for the charlottesville and my 2nd choice for charlotte, should i be able to get both or are they only giving tickets to one show. Not sure if we should use chloe's fan club number to make charlotte her first choice, we just don't wanna end up with 2 pairs of tickets to the same show so we just entered with my number for both shows

You potentially can get tickets for every show you request, unless the shows are in the same city.
