I hope Lament realizes that whatif is going to pick one reliever and use that same guy for every save situation, regardless of how good he actually performs.

Yeah, but in the Steroid era the starting pitching is significantly weaker, requiring quite a few more bullpen innings.

You make it sound like whatif is going to pull a shitty pitcher early in the game.@SkitchP wrote:cutuphalfdead wrote:I hope Lament realizes that whatif is going to pick one reliever and use that same guy for every save situation, regardless of how good he actually performs.

All I'm saying is, Lament's plan would be brilliant if you could actually actively manage your own bullpen.

Oh, I know. But I'm determined to have as many studs in my pen as possible to increase the odds of WhatIf deciding my closer is someone good.cutuphalfdead wrote:I hope Lament realizes that whatif is going to pick one reliever and use that same guy for every save situation, regardless of how good he actually performs.

He was good in 86, 88, and 90 too though. I mean, not 1985 good, but 1985 Gooden probably would've been a top five pick. I don't think Gooden in round four is a bad pick.@SkitchP wrote:And whoever picked Doc Gooden DOES realize they cant use 1985, right?
