Um, nobody has 'over-thought' this any more than you just did.surfndestroy wrote:I think you guys are way over thinking the title. It easily could refer to where he is career wise. He's done some great soundtrack stuff and How To Destroy Angels. Are those the hesitation marks before he completely kills NIN? For all we know that's what his his wife calls the fart stains on his underwear.
Why do people do that on this site? "I really think you guys are over-thinking this. Here is my equally complex theory, listen up."

Ask for Trent's first born, you may change the state of modern music.verb_to_trust wrote:Thanks. Surprised there isn't a deluxe package available.

There's a deluxe edition of the CD, which is also available for pre-order from NIN.com and Amazon. It will be set up like the deluxe edition of the new Depeche Mode album: hardcover book thing with an extra disc that will have, in NIN's case, a few remixes on it.verb_to_trust wrote:Thanks. Re: Nine Inch Nails | Hesitation Marks [September 2013]
I pre ordered this thing and am starting to regret it. The more I think about it, the less likely I think this will be something on par with NIN up until With Teeth. The Fragile and With Teeth especially took a long time to write and record. I just don't see how a song like We're In This Together ends up part of this record considering the obscene amount of hours he put into recording just that song. The really strong NIN albums have been a labor of love, not a case of a few songs for a greatest hit record snowballing into an entire record....
Call me a pessimist or whatever. I'm thinking this sounds like 'a logical extension' of The Slip come September 3.
