Me too, but still - we just elected an alien. We're all one again now.

It appears Trump did better than Romney with minority voters. Interesting accomplishment for someone who offers no message other than racism and xenophobia.

My Bulgarian roommate, who was railing against Brexit because it threatened his place in the UK, is a firm Trump supporter, despite the same threat for people in the States.

He's also a dick in several other ways, so the rest of us were pretty glad to catch him looking for other accommodation.

Point is, the idea of beating back the corrupt politicians is clearly a very powerful one at the moment.

Are you serious with that one? This isn't even remotely his fault. Clinton and Wasserman-Schultz conspired to keep him out before this thing even began; he repeatedly opted to not take the low-hanging fruit of her e-mail scandal; and when she was nominated, he stumped for her very passionately.

I wasn't a Bernie supporter (I dug his message, but he was too short on specifics), but at least he brought some ultra-liberal ideas to the early debates.
Exactly. His message made Hillary into the "backup plan" for progressives all over the country and swung her too far left for centrist voters. He was the Shake Shack to her McDonalds for proglodytes, when they should have been lining up to lift her right through that glass ceiling.

It also looks like the black turnout was down in key areas, but we probably need more detailed results to understand how bad this hit the blue team.

It sort of has a feeling of it inevitability about it. I do actually think Trump would be better at smoothing relations with Russia better than Clinton would have at least but other than that it's all up in the air.

Can only hope that wasn't really him during the campaign and now he becomes even a little bit presidential.

Or he might leave it to the professionals? I kinda wish I'd taken my money out of the market before this tho.

Maybe when they realize Trump is really a democrat.

We finally had a third party candidate win; Trump beat both the Republicans and the Democrats. The GOP will have an easier time kissing & making up but where do the Democrats go from here?

To everyone who voted against Trump, this is for you:

So basically, Johnson and May spent Trump's presidency fighting each other over how best to sell the NHS to Trump.

One positive from last night seems to be that a dem is leading the NC governor race. HB2 could soon be gone.

Martin Shkreli is releasing that Wu-Tang album, too.

So I wake up and I see that there's a real chance that Clinton could still win the popular vote. If that happens, which would mean the conflict against the electoral vote went against the Democrats two out of the last five elections, I have to imagine that abolishing the Electoral College will be a prominent plank of their next platform.

I don't know the arguments either way... but isn't that essentially disenfranchising voters in flyover states?

Trag, do you honestly believe that in January 2017 the US will become more dangerous to the world than Nazi Germany? Think before you answer.
