Actually, a few more reviews down there was a mixed, though ultimately positive review. I'm walking Mia and I'll check out your theory when I get back. Could be...

I love the bands work in Cant Keep. Eddies uke version is nice, but this is the definitive version.

Same with Sleeping By Myself.

Riot Act is the last PJ album to get an A from me.

Riot act is 14 today.

Definitely the most consistently 'mood' of all their records. I haven't listened to it in years.

It's definitely an autumn / winter record for sure. And nothin to do with when it was released.

I listened to this one a month ago, in a bus´s trip on a quiet night and really enjoyed it. Im in better terms with it, specially with Ed´s delivery.

I think Cropduster might be the best song on this album.

I think overall riot act has eds best vocal delivery of all the albums. He's playing to his strengths and it's real Rich deep and wonderful.

Had the urge to throw this on a few days ago myself. An album about surrender to the will of the universe in the face of social and political distress. Certainly not an album I was hoping I'd find myself "feeling" in the here and now ever again....
