But Option A is fairer for everyone, because

Sounds like a recipe for a boring World Series.

It's only a 4 game difference.

Welp, enjoy the four game WS with a team that has no business being there.

Option A has more games because of the playoff between teams two and three

I'm off to work. Skip me when you get to me (unless lenny wants to make my round 24 pick for me...but he's not allowed to pick a pitcher).

And this vote doesn't count because it's really for something more like an Option C, which isn't even an option. CopperTom was just making shit up

Good team should probably be able to win a C's series

Lament wrote:Also, we never discussed the playoff/schedule format I had proposed earlier...

Option A: Everyone plays everyone else eight times (56 games). Second place plays third place for the right to face first place in the World Series. Three-game series the first two times through the schedule, followed by two game series the last time through.

Option B: Two four team divisions. You play your division twelve times each, and the other division six times each (60 games). Division winners face each in the World Series. We can assemble the divisions randomly, geographically, thematically, etc. Three game series everyday.

I'm good with whichever one you guys decide on.

Lets go option A, but go 4 game series the last time through (2 home, 2 away). This solves the more games problem.

The more games problem isn't really a problem, though.

Option A and Option B could very well have the same 2 teams in the WS. Relax.

Here's an idea for the division split:

The 1st, 3rd, 6th and 8th Payroll in one division (1 + 3 + 6 + 8 = 18). The 2nd, 4th, 5th and 7th Payroll in the other division (2 + 4 + 5 + 7 = 18). Payroll is the most objective measure of "best" in What If. Is there any other idea to ensure "equal" divisions?

I think we should all rank the rosters and then take 2,4,6 and Chud into one division. Then we can trash talk and remove all objectivity for the sake of fun.
