how did the house/yard work turn out? other than bama/lsu i only watched the end of the auburn/vandy game
It was a very productive weekend, but now I'm sore all over. Thanks for asking. Was the Bama game as boring as the score?
i had to record it so i fast forwarded through commercials and such, which made the game feel a lot faster...it's one of those that if it were teams i didn't care about i'd probably be bored, but for me it kept me somewhat on the edge of my seat just trying to anticipate when it might break open
Yeah, I know what you mean. The tension in those low scoring games can make up for the low score, especially if the game if the quality of play is high. Both teams have some incredible athletes.
i know we're great against the run typically, but i'm still shocked at how we've been able to consistently dominate fournette for 3 straight years

i still think our passing game might kill us in the playoffs (assuming we take care of auburn)
I haven't watched too many Bama games this year, but they've looked like far and away the best team in football. Still, the Auburn game and the semifinal loom.

our offense is still somewhat of a work in progress, and auburn has played really well the last month

depending on the match up, it wouldn't shock me if we were ousted in the semis

Overheard something like this during the Clemson/Pitt game:

"If Washington lost, it would create college football chaos, which everyone would love, except for the fine people of Washington State."

:shake:

Washington DC is irrelevant in college football, only use "Washington State" if you're going to refer to what's in Pullman.

Not to be confused with the other type of chaos occurring in Washington DC.

I guess. I've attended many more Syracuse games, but that's been awful for a decade.

Congrats, then!

It's pretty amazing how much reputation matters. Boise State has one loss and yet is only ranked one spot below WMU. If BSU hadn't given up that safety at Wyoming they might be talked about as a real darkhorse playoff team. Shame that WMU isn't even going to get close to that discussion.

I know. It sucks. Especially since they have 2 Big Ten wins.

Huh? An Ohio State win over Michigan likely seals their ticket to the playoff and also tears Michigan's up. Had Michigan not lost to Iowa there could have been an argument that both teams could get in.

Washington and Michigan both losing helped Clemson's cause at least.

They need to beat Wake Forest and then USCjr, then win the ACC Championship, and they should still have a shot for the playoffs.

Not gonna lie though, yesterday's loss hurt. I guess it was about time... Clemson has barely won a lot of games over the last two seasons, and their luck was bound to run out. They have done their best to keep other teams in the games, be it multiple turnovers (5 vs. Louisville and two in Pitt's endzone yesterday for example) or poor special teams play (see Alabama game last year). Yes, they are talented and deep, but they also kinda play lazy at times or maybe it's over confidence. They know they can hang 40 on pretty much anyone and they tend to get sloppy with mistakes / penalties / turnovers. They have lucked out like the last 20 games or so and managed to win in spite of themselves, but their luck ran out last night.

The rapists and Michigan control their own destiny. Osu doesn't.
