Every other movie I want to see should feature brand new characters in the Stars Wars universe. And I would prefer that they all take place WAY, WAY before the prequels. Unless, they want to dig through the now defunct EU or "Legends" as I believe they're called now and use some of that material. I'd be in to that.

More than anything I want to see trilogy based on The Tales of the Jedi: The Sith War comic series. Exar Kun and Ulic Qel-Droma are brilliant characters that deserve to be part of canon and the big screen experience.

Old Republic would be cool too.

I know you'll understand this. I really don't wanna see a knights of the old republic in any form. Mainly cos that fucktard Kristian Harloff on collider keeps going on about it. Heads so swelled cos he interviewed Pablo hidalgo and that collider has an audience now that he thinks it'll make a difference and it'll happen if he goes in about it enough.

Plus I really have no interest. Unless it was a Jedi / Sith origin story over a series on tv. Other than that it's stale and an idea a little too far outside what joe public would want to care about.

Yeah, I get what you're saying. And Old Republic would be definitely be a better TV series than film series. I agree.

I think we'll have the title for this and news about the next stand alone and whatever the tv series is they're working on before or at celebration in Orlando. They kind of dropped the ball at London. Hopeful we get our first trailer at Orlando too. Which is April or May.

Also Star Wars is 40 next year. Who knows what they'll be doing to promote that.

Re release of each of the films one a month up to 8 in December is one theory I like.

I'd be happy with a 40th anniversary of the original movie, "non-specialized". A blu ray of the original film, even without the "Episode IV" bit during the opening crawl.

Just talking to a pal about that earlier.

How can fox still own the rights? Disney bought something without full ownership? Seems unlikely.

Because that was the one film Lucas didn't outright own.

Wow. Didn't know about that. Thanks wease. You'd have to think they'll make a deal. Rights to the hobbit were owned by two or three different companies and they hammered out a deal to get them made. Even outside that it's strange Fox haven't been re releasing these on their bat. Itd be easy money. All SW fandom wants remastered originals with no special edition nonsense.

I do go back to my point that you don't get any company owned by shareholders, spending $4billion and not wanting a return.

However I think they'll pump the brakes after episode 9 and leave it settle for a few years.
They're not stupid and will treat the Star Wars franchise more carefully than the marvel thing. Which is a case study in over saturation to my mind. How many different properties have they running and to come from marvel?

If Star Wars was at that level of pumping different standalones outin different storylines etc, I really wouldn't get involved. And I'm fairly hardcore.

SW is the golden goose. Way more than the comic book films. They'll treat it with a lot more care.
