Re: Best Star Wars Podcasts

Started listening to the Story Wonk podcast and got through them all in two days. I have two thoughts on the matter:

1) Man he gets into the weeds. I have a whole new appreciation for the movies, but it's not something I could explain to anyone at all.

2) Holy crap does he get into the weeds. This is the kind of fandom that can turn a person off of a brand.

I liked it overall though and will be checking out the HP and LOTR ones. I wish he'd get into the concept of EU and how the films (Rogue One, for example) are starting to go that route.

Lastly: His vocal ticks in the live shows drive me crazy. "Goodgoodgood" is said so often.

I can ignore the ticks. But he knows what he's talking about and puts it all in a new light I've never seen it in for sure.

He sure does. It almost makes me want to listen to one of the other podcasts he has out right now but I'm not into Buffy, GOT, or Agents of Shield and while I'd maybe like to rewatch Veronica Mars it's not high on my list of things to watch, especially since I'm at least two seasons behind some shows at this point.

LOTR though...I'm on that like white on the Republican ticket.

what?

He said something about the LOTR podcast covering both the films and the books.

Not sure how he's gonna do that unless he wants to get into the changes made and what worked and what didn't. Cos a lot of them didn't.

DIME WHAT IS HAPPENING WITH THE SOUND?

There's this weird staticy clip about death sticks in the background in the middle of the interview!

Haha. That's sound effects their end. It's the sports bar noise I think? From AOTC

Yeah that's the only way I can see Kylo being redeemed in any significant way at all. Balance killing his father by saving his mother. Disney historically LOVE killing mothers off remember.

I just was a fan of their podcast and would tweet them occasionally and they got in touch asking would I go on. Lots of others have too. They've all been great so far.

I really enjoyed doing it though was pretty terrified on the day. Any excuse to get drinking.

Star Wars Minute came back today to begin their fifth season, this time addressing Attack of the Clones. They have a new episode every M-F, each about 30-40 minutes long. Last season on The Phantom Menace was simultaneously frustrating and fascinating, so I'm even looking forward to over 40 hours of content on this shit movie.

I keep hearing Star Wars minute being mentioned on other podcasts but I haven't subscribed to it. Is it worth listening to?
