Re: 11th album rumors and speculation
I don't expect a new album until early 2018 to be honest. They just finished up the tour, and you know they pretty much hate being in this fucking band.
Mike is sitting around looking at movie scripts.
Stone is being a dick, likely working on Brad music.
Jeff is skateboarding. (Although props to him, he seems to be the only one who really cares about the band and writes good music)
Matt likely rollerblades on the beach and preforms jazz music on Tuesday nights.
Ed is celebrating the Cubbies with Theo and Jon Cusack.
Trump is gonna light a fire, but it's likely to be cringe worthy. They'll likely call each other mid 2017 to discuss "maybe" getting in the studio with BoB later in the year and work on some shit demos they've got lying around.
That's my drive-by post, I'm hoping for the best.

Re: 11th album rumors and speculation
it'll probably be something like
2017: pj tours, soundgarden finishes their next album
2018: soundgarden tours, jeff releases 6-7 side projects
2019: pj minus ed start recording, mike does an interview describing it as a potential double album like dark side of the moon meets physical graffiti only more psychedelic but also punk.
2020: ed blows through the studio to put a little fixin on it and record future days reprise
2021: lightning bolt 2 is debuted at pj30 fest at wrigley field

the best thing about this is they can keep using the same stage setup they've been using since 2013guestT wrote:

A few ballads, a few quick punk rockers, a few EV solo songs. 4/5 stars in Rolling Stone. Heralded as a "return to form." Gets to number 1 in the charts but plummets quickly.Vindicator wrote:I don't expect a new album until early 2018 to be honest. Re: 11th album rumors and speculation
You're all forgetting about the initial session that yields maybe 1 or 2 slight departures (usually JA or MC songs). Then they have a band meeting to discuss exactly what the albums needs and write to that memo (usually 5-6 EV tracks).lecherouslittlestump wrote:A few ballads, a few quick punk rockers, a few EV solo songs. 4/5 stars in Rolling Stone. Re: 11th album rumors and speculation
I just came across this while randomly reading article about PJ HQ. lol
"The next room was a PJ fan's, well, nirvana, jammed with giant stage props from various tours, a set of surfboards with airbrushed images of the band that was a gift from their Australian label and giant metal racks lined with guitar cases, snare drums and mic stands. At the back of the room was a large carpeted rehearsal space tricked out with a vintage Elton John Captain Fantastic pinball machine, the entertainment system the group takes on the road, a massive Ramones stage-curtain backdrop and a haunting painting of the band's longtime producer and friend, Brendan O'Brien, nailed to a cross."

Re: 11th album rumors and speculation
a quote from 10c forum: "Bad news. Spoke to Jeff tonight at Easy St Records. I asked him about some European shows. He said "there is absolutely nothing show wise penciled in for next year". He said they will be going into the studio in the new year and that scheduling touring before that hasn't worked out well in the past. The only hope he gave was an "unless something pops up, not next year" statement. "

That totally contradicts Thayil's interview where he said Soundgarden couldn't tour next year because PJ was.
