Yeah, PS4. I don't even have a computer at home anymore.jwfocker wrote:Monkey_Driven wrote:It has pretty positive impressions so far.
In other news, Dishonored 2 is great. Much like the first, but a little more refined. I will play through the story a couple times with different play styles.
It looks awesome. I imagine you got the console version? I hear the PC version is a dumpster fire.

Re: The all inclusive video game thread
Dude. If video game sites weren't blocked here I'd point you to how they always 'under'estimate shipments going into the holidays. It's something I had hoped would die with Yamauchi but didn't. I hoped it would die with Satoru Iwata but it didn't. Maybe Kimishima will change things with the Switch, but this release doesn't fill me with hope.ABNorman wrote:I had no idea this thing would be so popular - I thought it'd be tucked into a few stockings at Christmas and that's about it. Seems like Nintendo underestimated it as well.
Read Console Wars this summer and it really showed how different the gaming landscape could have been if Yamauchi and Sega weren't such fools. First there's the Nintendo Play Station, then there's the Sega Play Station, not to mention several small things that SOJ did that totally hosed SOA. And the argument about fees and who-owns-what for the Nintendo Play Station is stupid. They should have read and signed and better contract instead of what they got.

Good to hear. Have you had any issues with framerate or anything? I'm on PS4 as well.Monkey_Driven wrote:It has pretty positive impressions so far.

Just once during a cutscene oddly enough. I'm on Mission 2 so there hasn't been a ton of action yet.Orpheus wrote:Good to hear. Have you had any issues with framerate or anything? I'm on PS4 as well.Monkey_Driven wrote:It has pretty positive impressions so far.

Battlefield 1 came free with my Xbox One S, so I tried it. The controls were so wonky that I quit after five minutes. I can't believe these games are so popular.

Re: The all inclusive video game thread
I put a lot of hours into the beta, and reviewed that earlier on this thread. I understand the devs have made some big changes to help with balancing and ensuring long term playability. My sense is that it's a very good game, but you'll have to do a lot of grinding, and it still skews towards the more established players in the Dark Zone. Kotaku has done a lot of stories on it, I know one piece in particular was sort of a re-review after they implemented some big changes.bada wrote:Anybody play Tom Clancy's The Division? Also, I think it's one of those games that's probably 10x more fun if you have a buddy.

Absolutely. I used to play this a ton on Uncharted 2 multiplayer. There was this one guy who I used to play with that was so obsessed with Survival that he had to get rid of his PS3 cause it was affecting his life! I miss that guy. I left him on my friends list for years hoping he would come back. I hope they bring back Elimination too and more of the old classic maps. I could get another year out of the game if they add that stuff.

I loved UC2's multiplayer too. Really glad they brought back the one map from it and the classic mode. We will have to play once this comes out. You may need a headsetbada wrote:

Played through Pikmin 3 with my nephew. Pikmin is great, I wish it would have taken off more in the U.S.
