That's a lot more common that you'd imagine.

I figure there's less to spoil, don't you?

Between the trailers and the fact that we know that (A) the Death Star gets finished and (B) the Rebels get the plans, I don't anticipated being shocked by twists and plot points.

Force Awakens was a totally new and untold story. Way more interest in finding out what happens.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

Could well be that Snoke is in that Bacta tank we see the hooded figure kneeling to? Only person the emperor would kneel to could be Snoke. And the imperial guards are also in that shot.

Snoke has seen the empire rise and fall and saw how the emperor and Vader failed in their respective roles. That much we know from the novel of force awakens. We don't know if he was involved with them or watched from afar though. But given he's on the dark side and training Kylo it would be neat if they tied it up like that and had him involved all the way.

So rogue One officially will not have an opening crawl. This is an outrage

Turning her attention back to Rogue One, Kennedy confirmed what director Gareth Edwards has previously hinted at: the new movie will not feature one of the traditional opening crawls. "We felt that’s so indicative of what those saga films are,” Kennedy says. "Initially, we probably will begin the film in a way that is traditional, with just the title." For more from Kennedy, head to Variety's site.

It's kinda crazy how some just are not getting it. My sister and mom were like that, but I think I've finally explained it to them so they understand.

Great question on collider tonight.

You walk into the cinema to see rogue one and they give you the option.

You can see rogue one or episode 8 right now, and wait a year for the one you don't choose.

Which would you choose to see now?

I'd go 8!!!

I'll say the fun of new Star Wars films is the run up to it and the teasers and speculation.

And to get a new film dropped cold would be too much a shock maybe.

Has any major studio every dropped a major title like a Radiohead surprise release?

Tickets on sale in the US November 28. Weird they didn't release them everywhere at the same time.
