This time last year, they were said to have one of the toughest schedules--and they went 13-3. These statements always mean jack shit.

This is also pretty inevitable given that we're guaranteed 6 games against AFC West foes, and the AFC West last year SUCKED.

They'll still probably lose at Arrowhead, given that they barely scheduled it in December. :gomez:

I expect the Chargers and definitely the Raiders to be pretty bad again this year too. The Chiefs will be mediocre.

Andy Reid is capable of turning them around quickly. I'm as worried about the Chiefs as I was at the end of the last offseason. I don't know what to make of the Chargers. This is one of the rare years that I don't want the Raiders to be the worst team in the league because I don't want them to get a shot at Jadeveon Clowney.

I expect the Raiders to be good in a few years. They have ex-GB people in the front office now and pretty much everyone under that regime has gone on to do similarly good things with their new teams.

It just all hinges on them really nailing a couple drafts in a row, and there's always a good deal of luck with that. They're doing a good job of cleaning out all of the Al Davis mistakes and will have tons of cap room next offseason, but even then it's going to be difficult to convince FAs to come to a reclamation project.

I do think that the best thing that they've done is trading for Matt Flynn. I'm quite worried that their QB problems are fixed.

Not exactly thrilled about this Eric Decker/Jesse James reality show I'm hearing about. I really don't see anything positive on the football side of things coming out of this.

Eh, I think Decker's head is screwed on properly that I don't think it will be an issue. If Brandon Marshall had done this that would be completely different--though, it would have made for better TV :haha: .

This needs to happen. Someone should have Cutler and Marshall live together during the season and get it on TV.

Kristin Cavallari does have reality TV experience...

I mused elsewhere that this show would be even better if TO signed with the Bears as well.

Adios, Willis. Hopefully this means that they really saw something good out of Montee Ball in minicamp.

And now news is breaking that Tom Heckert, the #3 guy in the front office, got popped for DUI last month. Come on. I really hope that I don't see Elway or Bowlen on the police blotter next. :shake:

If you're referring to Hernandez, he was just one player. This has infested a key part of the entire team's operations. And I could also list off numerous players in recent years that have had DUIs as well.

I'm worried that Goodell is going to hammer the Broncos to make an example out of the league's drunk driving image. And quite honestly, if he does I really couldn't blame him. This is really unacceptable.

Totally unacceptable. Given the resources these guys have for this exact thing? Still, I don't see Roger going nuts with punishment.

I don't understand how a league as flush with cash as the NFL has such a DUI problem, there is a free freaking ride system already in place....

This doesn't apply to people like Russell and Heckert (which just makes their actions more egregious), but players have been reluctant to use those services because they're afraid that the league and the coaches will find out that they're partying hard and use that information against them. I think there's plenty of blame on both sides of that argument. Still, I could solve that easily as a mediator. The union agrees to stricter DUI penalties, and in exchange the league agrees to not use the free ride services as info against the players.
