Careful. If you start questioning the anthropomorphic genetics of sci-if characters, while worlds of fiction quickly unravel.

"Why did characters from another galaxy evolve to look exactly like Earthlings?" instantly dissolves any illusions we create to enjoy the Star Wars world.
Why?

Because the odds of two organisms from different galaxies evolving to look exactly the same are basically impossible.

DFW wrote about this far more eloquently than I can, but in a nutshell: We have to do some ridiculous mental gymnastics to enjoy film/tv fiction.
Huh. Well, I guess, I disagree. I've never had to do any mental gymnastics to enjoy film/tv/fiction. So I guess DFW is full of shit.

Ok I'll say this quietly but you do know how YouTube works right?

And if I made a video 'leaking' the whole script for episode 8 I'd have 350,000 hits within an hour and that gets monetised and I make a bunch of money.

Don't listen to anything whatsoever on YouTube with regards Star Wars. Not a word.
Unless you like buying some obese 40 year old still lovin on his moms cellar a new flat screen.

Not even kidding. They're all making these videos. The reaction videos are just fun. And ignorable.

The theory / I HAVE THE NEW SCRIPT LEAK videos are forming a new mould. Fair enough if they're making money off it go for it But at the same time they devalue the whole thing by Doing by that.

Just listen to som of them. you can't identify a fat kid in his moms basement?
