There are few combinations of words that excite me less in 2016 than "Rolling Stones blues covers album".

The fawning press this album has been getting is pissing me off. I listened to about three songs from it and it's exactly what I expected -- a group of 75 year-old men trotting out blues cliches. Do these people have tin cans for ears?

Turns out I tend to like a lot of the stuff that people I respect seem to hate. Or I like a lot of the same artists but the tracks I like are the one's I'm not "supposed" to like and the one's I dislike or find little to connect to are the one's that "are the best."

Im into a big Marilyn Manson phase right now.

And its just Antichrist and Mechanical Animals...my two favorite from him. But not just that, im bought his book in Singapore last march and began reading it now...I miss guys like this, even if he wasnt that good anyway...there was a sense of danger with him, people really hated him or whatever he was saying at the time, i miss that in an artist.

I like those two albums i mention there...and they still hold up pretty good. After that, yeah i dont think he found a very interesting path and the whole edge thing fell off.

But for a moment, there was something pretty cool about being a Manson fan.
