No. No, it's not.
You dont like Carrie?? Its one of the best movies from De Palma...Sissy Spacek and Piper Laurie are so great in it.
I don't, I pretty much hate that movie. But Brian De Palma is a director I actively dislike. The only movie of his that I really love is Phantom of the Paradise.

Carrie is in no way terrible. I think De Palma's made some awesome films, though I haven't seen anything he's made in about 30 years.

(Also, I've never seen Shawshank Redemption. I doubt I will.)

Is it? It doesn't look like the kind of thing I'd enjoy.

Maybe if it's on TV one day and I'm home. With a broken leg. And I can't reach the remote.

If you'd like me to break your leg, turn on TNT, and leave the remote on the roof of your house, I can do that for you.

"Shawshank Redemption" is a good story, and a fine film, but massively overrated. Number 1 film of all time? Not in my book. Not even close.

It's not in my Top 10, but I can understand the profound love for it.

It's a very human movie in the sense that even the most hardened person is moved by the story and climax.

I'll tell you one thing. It's sure better than "Gilmore Girls".

It's "good." David Morse is in it and I like him a lot. Very underrated actor.

Then I would strongly recommend the Homicide episode entitled "Colors."

It is an eye opening look at the subtle racism in america. A very heavy Pembleton/Bayliss episode.

Good, not great. Hasn't aged as well as Shawshank.

Watched a couple minutes of this earlier.

It's good and IS overrated. It's a nice enough movie, and rewatchable, but I would take Quiz Show over it any day of the week.
