Even with Sale, I still need them to do more than Mitch Moreland at DH.

The more time goes by the more I want them to sign Encarnacion.

Travis Shaw sucks though...I mean it's not like he's a big loss

the two prospects are far more concerning

I'm ok with the above for Sale as well

I still feel like Bradley's going to dive back off a cliff offensively at some point here, so trade him now and maximize the return on him...plus he's not going to be worth anywhere near what he'll command in free agency in a couple of years

How the FUCK did they pull this off without moving Swihart? Granted, Moncada is the #1 prospect in baseball, but this seems like an underwhelming return for CWS.

He is, but I expected to have to give up a lot more than this.

Did Swihart learn how to catch again?

Although, giving up the draft pick is more of a consideration now that they've gutted the system.

Yeah but why gut the system and then leave a hole in the lineup?

I meant more that if you can get a decent LHH DH/1B type for one of the excess starters, that might be preferable.

I'd agree with that.

I'm going to be so pissed if we sign Mitch Moreland.

I would honestly rather sign no one and fill the spot through spring training performances than sign Moreland. He is like the opposite of the kind of hitter that thrives at Fenway.
