I think a big thing that works in Rebels favor is even the side stories are more focused. The show basically has 5 characters (Zeb, Ezra, Kanan, Sabine, Hera), and any given episode will center around at least 2 of them (usually minimum of 2+Chopper). Clone Wars goes so all over the place and over different parts of the galaxy with such a large cast to focus on (Anakin, Ashoka, Obi-Wan, Mace, Rex, Yoda, Dooku, Grevious, etc) it feels like its a lot less focused on it's main story.

Can I just ask? Never seen RM as in the same page and happy and engaging about stuff. Certainly not pearl jam stuff. Am I imagining that or is Star Wars good wood glue?

Totally agree. Two sides same coin though. Rebels seeks to mimic the original cast set up and succeeds. Clone wars is just padding out the prequels. And I don't mean padding out in a negative sense. A lot of it is brilliant.

Almost seems like clone wars was where Lucas learned to listen to people and his advisors.

Im not in anyway bashing Clone Wars. Im enjoying it quite a bit now that im into it. Just something about Rebels hits on that right "Star Wars" vibe that was missing. And it might just be that Chopper adds a perfect amount of "fun" to it, where as most of the Clone Wars stuff is quite heavy.

Nail on the head. Chopper is actually the X factor in Rebels.

I feel like I'm a tad lost by the 2nd episode of S2 of Rebels. Who are these clones? Am I supposed to know them already? They come out of nowhere and are a huge part of this episode. I feel like it would make more sense if I'd watched TCW series.

I think as the season goes on they make mention about their past and who they fought with

Cool. I'm just gonna roll with it. But it is a little jarring.

Chopper is one of us. He's what we would do in most situations.

Interesting interview with Rebels producer from the beginning of this season. The one quote that stood out to me was about Ahsoka (spoilered for Joey)
Spoiler: show
I have said, and I did say at Celebration, it's likely you haven't seen the last of her. I won't say in what form she appears, but I just felt like to calm the fans down, they need to know there's something to look forward to.

Good! I'm only two episodes in, still. I haven't had a chance to watch more yet. Hopefully, I can get one or two more in tonight. We'll see. Now that I'm done working though, there's a fair shot.
