hypocrisy in America. I like where this is going.

I hope Ed was up to the task lyrically. I just don't want a lot of punk this time. I want a mix between S/T and Riot Act without the production issues and vocal issues respectively!
It's amazing that just by adding those two items to the picture they have changed the entire vibe that was being given off from just the plate and the silverware. Makes me wanna put some camo and warpaint on for some reason....lol I'm weird I know. makes me feel.....riled up!

I'm picturing a tune about an American family talking about their day 'round the dinner table, their faith, and pure excitement in shooting things that are alive...all in a very sarcastic Ed way.

It's gotta be a surburban Conservative America type of deal.
Maybe that's why they are playing Charlotte.

As long as Ed takes some shots at Liberals, too. I'm unenrolled (independent) and not a big fan of either party's behavior.

I don't know much about American politics but given that Bushleaguer was the only effectively partisan 'political' song he's done, he's probably going to go principled and issue-based on this one. At the very least, I don't see him actually yelling any politician's names on it.

Yeah, I don't mean that he has to call out any names, but I'd be fine with him poking holes in America's welfare system (we tend to give a lot of money to people who are dead with these EBT cards) and on the other side you've got the whole gun debate. Lots of material out there. Oh, and the longest war in our history in Afghanistan.

I dunno. Whilst I don't mind people being issues-based and nonpartisan, there are clearly worse politicians than others and sometimes it seems lazy to me, when people are too broad.

You want him to address welfare in song? :?

I think mocking the insurance company endorsed Obamacare would be much easier, effective, and likely than going after a program that regardless of its many faults has as a goal something that he probably agrees with.

I agree that's it's lazy to be broad, but there is also no quicker way to date your work than to call out an individual.

If any of my PJ music goes anti-welfare I'm going to burn it. Just FYI.

I was never too concerned about that. Hatred of a politician lasts forever

Local welfare is broken in Boston - the local paper here recently did a whole series on it. It would infuriate you if you knew how and where your tax $$ went. Anyway, it was just the first liberal topic that came to mind when I thought about something that needs a little fixin'

I don't think they'd ever go anti-welfare, but maybe anti-welfare abuse....like people who double park their Lexus while they go inside money box to cash their welfare checks...

Angry 'taxpayers' in the UK are the bane of my life atm. But hey, I'm diverting from the main topic of discussion which is the allegedly leaked single.

there is a difference between the need for a system and how effectively a system is implemented. i doubt we're getting an album full of complaints about the abuse of necessary public programs
