I've never really understood the fascination with Vader, honestly. He's never been the villain that everyone has tried to convince me he is. But, having said that, I really did like that two part S2 premiere and thought they used Vader well in that. He added to the tension of the story without stealing the show from the characters we care about and felt threatening in a good way.

Still, I think The Inquisitors are way more threatening and scary so far. But we'll see where this goes. I'm now 6 episodes in. Episode 6 is the first one with Hondo (are there more with him?). Fun episode but not great. Looking forward to the next couple though. So far, I think S2 is slightly inferior to S1. But it's still early.

You will love Vader by the end of season two. superb.

That's because ROTJ neutered him. He was a bad motherfucker in the first two movies. Then the prequels pretty much took anything good that was left of him.

You'll soon redact that statement :)

That ROTJ neutered him? I doubt it.

Go read my post about the Rebels link. It will give you something to keep an eye out for, and doesn't really have any spoilers in it.

You won't be saying that when Darth Vader kills them all in the series finale.

Here it is:
E.H. Ruddock wrote:Info about Rebels references. Spoiler free I think but just to be safe:
Spoiler: show
The Ghost isn’t the only thing from Star Wars Rebels you can spot in Rogue One, but you’ll need to pay attention and look closely for the other Easter Eggs.

In addition to taking part in the battle over Scarif the Ghost can also be seen at the Rebel base on Yavin IV, but there are some other references to Rebels in that base.

If you look very closely and pay attention, you can spot the Rebels’ droid Chopper at the base. Reportedly most of his footage was cut, but if you really look hard you can still spot him there. Also in the base you’ll hear for a “General Syndulla” summoned via the PA system. This happens right after Jyn gives her rousing speech to the Rebellion.

There are also unconfirmed reports that people spotted a Lasat (not necessarily Zeb) in Saw Gerrera’s hideout. Additional viewings of the movie will be needed to confirm if this is true or not.

Rogue One is actually set after the end of Star Wars Rebels, so from the movie we know that Hera ends up becoming a General in the Rebellion much like Han and Lando did and Chopper survives along with her. Right now there doesn’t seem to be any reference for the other Rebels crew outside of Hera, Chopper, and the Ghost itself in Rogue One.
VERY interesting about the Syndulla part, if true. Kind of foreshadows what happens to her in Rebels. Also the Zeb part. Gonna have to watch this several times.

Watching season one now (eps 3-4). Not even close to the best of Clone Wars yet. But hopefully it will improve like Clone Wars did.

It's gets to be great but in a very different way. Both make wonderful contributions to elements of the canon though.

Good, I'm looking forward to it. I do see that there are some highly rated episodes (on imdb) later in the series.

I'm staying out of the Rogue One thread, too. Until I see it. Which probably won't be for a week or two. And then maybe I won't even go back in then. We'll see.

If Dime keeps dropping these SUBTLE HINTS about things that happen in R1 in other threads, I'll probably have to abandon all Star Wars threads. Which basically means quitting RM at this point.

The Rouge One thread is a safe place, friend. But wait till you've seen it.

None of your fears are worth it.

I haven't been able to make it through one episode of Clone Wars. I mean, I've "watched" 6 of them. But I've lost interest and done something else during every single one of them and I couldn't tell you what any of them are about.

Rebels, though? I've enjoyed every episode of Rebels so far.
