That's a cool story, and Sager did always genuinely seem like a good guy. Sad to see him go.Monkey_Driven wrote:The sports world will definitely miss Sager.
I had a three minute conversation with him at the 2007 PGA Championship. He was on some random hole, I recognized him, and asked him a question about how to get hired out of college. That question morphed into a conversation about the Celtics trade that summer and what it meant for the rest of the league. He was kind, thoughtful, genuine, and silly in that brief chat. He didn't have to even turn around to address me but he did. I'll always remember that.
We lost a good one team.

Sources saying Curry is going to be in line for a 5 year 207 million dollar extension this summer. I don't see Curry living up to the money in the back half of that deal and we will already have seen his best years. Giving 30 some year old guys huge money generally doesn't work out in the context of building a championship team.

Be that as it may, he is the greatest shooter we've ever seen. That contract might be quite as onerous by year 4 or 5 anyway, but either way I'd imagine the real fear would be injuries, not age-related decline. Sure, he'll lose some quickness and get fewer steals and blow by guys to the basket less, but that 3 point range ain't going anywhere.verb_to_trust wrote:Sources saying Curry is going to be in line for a 5 year 207 million dollar extension this summer. The banana boat super friends made sure even older players will get max albatross contracts in the future. Curry might get another one after the next one.

Waxed by the Bucks for the second night in a row. Niko skips today's walk through after being benched for Bobby freaking Portis. Really hoping this continues so Fred can get fired soon.

Rockets come back from 12 down in the final two minutes to beat the Wolves tonight. Thibs has to be livid with this group because they haven't been closing games all year.

Blake Griffin is a good player, but his injury history has him as damagged goods in my eyes. I bet a lot of GMs are feeling the same after his latest surgery.

Speaking of idiots, how bout them Warriors taking shots at the Jazz for not rolling over and dying the final ten seconds of the game last night? Yep, that's why you blew a 3-1 lead in the Finals last year. Fucking choke artists living in their own universe....
