You may need to rest from music and videos for a while. And live shows too.

I'm flying up from NC and should have my other GA ticket available. Shoot me a PM if anyone just needs a single, I will be using the other myself.

Re: 2013-07-19: Wrigley Field: Chicago, IL
Boy, I first joined this forum in 2004 or something but I haven't posted since 2007 or so. Trying to log in and remember my high school emails and passwords proved a non-starter (that's when I was active on this thing), so here I am starting over again.
I was anxious to post only to point out that I now live one block from Wrigley Field. I am more than welcome to hosting drinking/grilling at my spacious apartment before this concert. If anyone would like a place to drink for cheap (i.e. I'll just buy some 30 racks) please feel free to PM me. I've got tickets to the show and would love to do it.

Are you the same jacktor that used to post on the old board like 5 years ago? Asking b/c my foggy memory vaguely remembers an internet user named jacktor from back then.jacktor wrote:I got tickets to this!

So, who wants to get real honest here...
Picture this. It's the night before the show. You've just picked up your 10C tickets. A well dressed dude comes up to you and explains that he works for a well to do guy who's set on being in the GA section for this show and as is prepared to spend quite a bit of money to do so (and will apparently have to based on what is still an ABSURD secondary market for this show; every single seat on the field that you can buy on Stubhub is at least $900). How much does this guy have to offer you to part with your ticket?
If you've paid $165 for a pair of tickets somewhere on the field, and someone is standing in front of you with a wad of cash, at what point do you say "Fuck it, they're yours"? I mean, this is shaping up to be the craziest secondary market for Pearl Jam shows ever, so anything is possible. If someone offers you $3000 for your pair of GA tickets, are you really gonna be able to say no? You could see most of the fall tour for that sum...

I was offered $1100 cash per seat plus tickets in the rafters for 5/21/10, while in line at MSG. I turned it down of course, I assumed I would be able to get more 10c tickets in the future so i didn't want to risk losing that. Then the lotto came. I willing to bet we will see a lot of significant others joining up to put in for GA tickets, a large chunk of which will make it to the secondary market.

Wow. That's a pretty remarkable sum of money.broken iris wrote:I was offered $1100 cash per seat plus tickets in the rafters for 5/21/10, while in line at MSG. Past Chicago openers...
7-21-91 - Wash
11-21-91 - Release
3-28-1992 - Release
8-2-1992 - Why Go (Lollapalooza)
3-10-1994 - Release
3-14-1994 - Oceans (Fan club show)
7-11-1995 - Release
6-29-1998 - Long Road
10-9-2000 - Release
6-18-2003 - Release
10-5-2005 - Love Boat Captain (Katrina Benefit)
5-16-2006 - Release
5-17-2006 - Severed Hand
8-2-2007 - All Or None (Fan club show)
8-5-2007 - Why Go (Lollapalooza)
8-23-2009 - Long Road
8-24-2009 - Hard to Imagine
If you take out the Lollapaloozas, the fan club only shows, and the Katrina benefit, that's seven Release openers in twelve shows. I gotta think it's gonna be Release again. It seems to be significant to Ed to play it in Chicago.
