Despite the terrible analogy, yeah, the Patriots have a reputation from Spygate and the walkie talkie probably isn't a big deal. But it still doesn't explain the league overreaching on Deflategate. The Steeler's balls both came in below 12 PSI and nobody even blinked; nothing to see here, not even worth looking in to. Not that I wanted anything to do with it either, but there is a double standard.Electromatic wrote:E.H. Well, yeah. If Ray Rice and Joe Mixon are walking into an elevator and you're a woman.... probably catch the next one eh?

It's still pretty good to have probably the greatest coach and QB in the history of the game. It's just more of an interesting story if it's the Pats now because they are known for it. The inflation story is nothing without the broken cell phone and 2 stooges. The NFL isn't even remotely consistent with discipline.Self wrote:Despite the terrible analogy, yeah, the Patriots have a reputation from Spygate and the walkie talkie probably isn't a big deal. It was in poor taste to put battering women and football and rule breaking in the same light. Sorry about that.

Re: 2016 NFL Season
there shouldn't be fines for any TD celebrations; at all
maybe the salvation army thing will knock some sense into roger goodell and they stop haterading on these guys when they score
its the least the NFL could do, given that these players are throwing away their grey matter and ability to live past age 50

So OBJ got fined 18k for wearing tribute cleats to Craig Sager. But nothing for Elliot.

Do the surviving members of the '08 Lions do a champagne toast whenever the last winless team each season gets a victory?
