Dev, have you checked out Alex's side project, The Last Shadow Puppets? They're fantastic, too.

I added some more to the above playlist.

21. From The Ritz to the Rubble
22. Evil Twin
23. The Blond-O-Sonic Shimmer Trap
24. A Certain Romance

It'd be nice to get something new from these guys soon.

I wouldn't count on it this year. I'm actually a little worried about Alex. I saw one LSP interview in particular where he was just gone. He could easily go down the cliched rock star path.

Dracula Teeth is my fave on the album. Finally seeing them this past summer was a highlight of the year for me.

So, I'm well versed in Humbug and AM, but Suck It And See is just not doing it for me so far. Love the opening verse of black treacle tho.

Suck It And See is better than both AM and Humbug. Truthfully, I don't like Josh Homme's production sense on the tracks he did.

I'd put it behind both of those. It took a while to gel with me and I appreciate the simpler approach. It's a strong musical album, the guitarist kills it but lyrically I find it his worst album. He phoned it in on a few of these tracks.

which lyrics do you dislike? I agree the first 5 tracks or so have some questionable lyrics. The more I think about it though, I think AM has some of the worst lyrics. He went from being lovesick to being a swinger on that album.

AM does have some questionable lyrics but his delivery is awesome. Arabella and Do I Wanna Know have 2 of my favourite deliveries of his.

I need to listen to SIAS again, it's been a while. From memory a fair few of the lyrics felt like throwaways.

AM has a ton of great songs.

Suck It and See has song-writing though. The song-writing is pretty tight and inspired. And despite having some thoughtless lyrics it also has some of the best toward the tail of the album.
