Looks like Carrie Fisher had a massive heart attack on a plane.

Hope she's ok

You know, 2017 could be worse because we're at the age when people we grew up with will start dying.

And yet not the ones we want. I mean, Strom Thurmond lived to be a hundred. Does the extra bit of hate give you a long life or something?

Pretty sure we're going to lose Leia off screen in this thing now. I'd heard rumors of...things... but I think we can all go ahead and call it a forgone conclusion at this point.

No, no I'm not.

I heard awhile back that
Spoiler: show
Leia's ship gets attacked and she's in a comma for most of the film
. Not sure if that's accurate, obviously. But if true, I'm guessing they
Spoiler: show
just take it all the way
.

It's the Tarkin thing but on a much much bigger scale of damned if they do damned if they don't. They're gonna meet furious reaction if they recreate her digitally or if they bring her story to an off screen ending.
Personally I think it would be wrong to recreate her onscreen though it would tie in with her views and jokes of Lucasfilm owning her image but I think it would go down like a lead balloon if they do it.

I'm pretty sure she was to make it into 9. Trevorow said he wanted to expand Luke and Leias roles and take them to new places(im paraphrasing)

So I wonder how all this will affect 9s story which I think Johnson has already written?

Feels shit and selfish even talking like this when she's just died

Have they done most of the filming for this?

I wouldn't have a problem if they slip in a minute or two of digital Leia to finish out her story. Then they just have to render up a corpse for a funeral at the end.

Wrapped back in July and in post production now. Williams is scoring already.

Wondering will they do reshoots now to amend the story/write her out in 8?
