Never seen it. I think the only other Brooks movies I've seen are The Producers and History of the World.cutuphalfdead wrote:What about High Anxiety?LoathedVermin72 wrote:Young Frankenstein is great. Yeah. I'd still probably rank it #2 out of the Brooks I've seen, though.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:history of the world was mediocre

Honestly it left little impression on me so I'd be hard-pressed to give you specifics. It just does nothing for me.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:what do you not like about blazing saddles?LoathedVermin72 wrote:Yeah. Spaceballs is in my top ten and the fact that both chad and LV don't like it probably bumps it up into my top five.

Re: We Need a Spaceballs Thread
Funny, unique, meant for laughs:
1. Spaceballs
2. Blazing Saddles
3. Young Frankenstein
4. Men In Tights
5. The Producers
I've always had a special love for Spaceballs, but honestly there isn't that much to separate them. The strange thing about Mel Brooks films is that I find they lose some of their brilliance if I am not in the mood or if I'm not paying attention. Different from other famous comedies I can think of, that are perfect for having on in the background.

Mecca, go run GD and keep the fuck out of the Star Wars forum.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

Re: We Need a Spaceballs Thread
This is fascinating because I completely agree. Except that I also like Sapceballs. I wonder why that one is the outlier.LoathedVermin72 wrote:Young Frankenstein is great. Don't like Blazing Saddles. Re: We Need a Spaceballs Thread
I've seen it twice. I liked it more the second time. But not much more. It has like two great scenes and the rest of it is pretty forgettable, I think.
