i've started so many series and not finished them, even ones i've really enjoyed (deadwood, for instance)...i'm trying to commit to starting them and finishing themBurtReynolds wrote:Not an exciting or creative list, but:lennytheweedwhacker wrote:what are 3 of your 5 favorite tv programs of all time? comedies excludedBurtReynolds wrote:I rewatched Deadwood recently and didn't like it nearly as much. The later episodes are good, but the early ones are kinda shitty.
The Wire
Game of Thrones (often terrible, but when it's good it's incredible)
Breaking Bad
Still a lot I haven't seen yet, though.
i think seasons 3 through whenever it ends of downton abbey is up next

Yeah, this is why I generally dislike TV. There's good stuff, but it's few and far between.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:do you like tv shows at all? since i know narrative/story isn't overly important to you in films, it seems like you'd have a hard time getting into prolonged tv showsLoathedVermin72 wrote:So did I. i watched the first 6 or 7 episodes of justified and thought it was okay...the pilot was great, so i suppose i was disappointed the next few episodes went in a different direction

Re: TV: Always Sunny in Philadelphia
I think I made it through season 2. I liked it, but it felt like they would just drag out it out until the ratings tank. I can't stand that.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:i've started so many series and not finished them, even ones i've really enjoyed (deadwood, for instance)...i'm trying to commit to starting them and finishing themBurtReynolds wrote:Not an exciting or creative list, but:lennytheweedwhacker wrote:what are 3 of your 5 favorite tv programs of all time? comedies excludedBurtReynolds wrote:I rewatched Deadwood recently and didn't like it nearly as much. It was in one of the later seasons when most folks had jumped ship anyway.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:i barely remember itdurdencommatyler wrote:I love his short run on The Office.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:i think i like timothy olyphant as a personality a lot more than i do as an actor

Yeah, Michael hires him. But Michael was only gone for 2 seasons. I think this arc was in Season 7.CopperTom wrote:Michael was still around at that point, I think.durdencommatyler wrote:It was in one of the later seasons when most folks had jumped ship anyway.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:i barely remember itdurdencommatyler wrote:I love his short run on The Office.lennytheweedwhacker wrote:i think i like timothy olyphant as a personality a lot more than i do as an actor
