I want to read Tarkin and Catalyst, too. Those and the Ahsoka book are the only Star Wars novels I've ever actively wanted to read. Kind of exciting, really.

Really really enjoyed that one MD. it's great when a writer finds the voice of the character and can reverse engineer to sort of write their back story to bring them up to this point.
Plus there's loads of Vader in this and the nature of their relationship is really cool.

The OT ones no but The new ones are and usually expand on details in the films and in the case of Force Awakens give extra details

This is what they said about the original Canon in the 90s: "Gospel, or canon as we refer to it, includes the screenplays, the films, the radio dramas and the novelizations. These works spin out of George Lucas' original stories, the rest are written by other writers. However, between us, we've read everything, and much of it is taken into account in the overall continuity. The entire catalog of published works comprises a vast history—with many off-shoots, variations and tangents—like any other well-developed mythology."

G-canon was George Lucas canon: Considered absolute canon, it included Episodes I–VI (the released films at that time), and any statements by George Lucas (including unpublished production notes from him or his production department that are never seen by the public). Elements originating with Lucas in the scripts, filmed deleted scenes, film novelizations, reference books, radio plays, and other primary sources were also G-canon when not in contradiction with the released films. G-canon overrode the lower levels of canon when there was a contradiction.

Listening to the perfect weapon on audiobook.

Bounty hunter hired by a mystery contact (Kylo ren-the voice and modulation is amazing ) to find and retrieve a metal case (containing Vaders helmet) from a retired stormtroper.

Star Wars audiobooks are awesome. Sound effects and music ahoy!

I guess I have to get the Rogue One novelization. Folks are talking about how much more Bodhi gets in the book. And I needs to know!

Finished perfect weapon. It was a novella really. Like two hours long.

Skimpiest of the new canon ive encountered so far.
