And it happens over and over again. It kinda takes the wind out of Rogue One and this idea that stealing the Death Star plans was so difficult and their first major victory. I mean, it is! It's a HUGE victory. And most of the things in Rebels I guess are small or smaller victories, sure. But it just seems so easy on the show. Take some of the danger out of the films, I think. And not just R1 but all of the films.
agreed, but so many of the victories are just simply escapes.
Go to planet X
retrieve thing/person Y
Escape
It's not like they are winning wars or even really battles.

You're right. Which is why I conceded as much in my post. What got me thinking about it was when they stole the Empire's big cargo ship. Back in S2, that Hera episode. They one with her dad. That was a pretty fucking massive accomplishment.
And we're still 2 years away from the events of R1... I don't know. It's probably a silly criticism, but it bugs me a bit how much they are able to do and achieve and get away with so far before we get to the events of Rogue One. But, yeah, it's not a make/break thing. I still enjoy the show. I'm not gonna stop watching or anything. Just a thought.
I think the show works best when it focuses on smaller missions/battles. Like the episode with Lando. That was a great episode. They could explore characters and lore, like in the S2 finale. There's a lot they can do in a kids show.
Hey joey.
I just discovered Jon Campea has blocked me own twitter:)
this is after making my day simply cos I challenged him about his bullshit video about rogue one footage that wasn't in the film & him posting it before the film was released.

Harloff isn't as obnoxious as some of the others. He's cocky sometimes but he's kinda earned it. He is smart, knows the world, and is insightful a lot of the time. It's because they have people like him and Clarke Wolfe and Schnepp and Roca. That's why I keep going back.

Im indifferent to Hondo. He's definitely a lot lighter in Rebels than Clone Wars. Like I said earlier, he's basically just an episode compass... HEAD HERE FOR ADVENTURE
Nice touch having the Empire literally destroy ships rather than have them fall into rebel hands. And then later saying, "Why risk so much to gain so little?" That was nice.
