That label bugs me for some reason. How is it though?

Mild hop taste for an IPA and easy to drink. I wouldn't seek it out but it's enjoyable.durdencommatyler wrote:That label bugs me for some reason. How is it though?

I drank way too much beer last month. I might take a break for awhile. And by break I mean one a day.

This is a local brewery to me. I got a sample pack for Chanukah, and I've got to agree. sub-par stuffE.H. Ruddock wrote:all that schmaltz he'brew stuff is fucking disgusting.

Are the craft beer communities on your local Facebook and .orgs as pedantic and fussy as the ones in my neck of the woods?
A local brewery that consistently makes some of the best IPA in Texas recently had a printer issue with their bottling line and about half a batch of beer didn't get the bottling dates printed on it. I certainly understand the need for dates, but the outcry about this issue was ten club level bitching. I honestly feel like these beer nerds would prefer the brewery not even stock the undated beer on grocery store shelves.

Yeah, feels that way. Here in Houston, most of us are so thrilled to finally have local things to be proud of that often we've got absolutely no chill.

oh, I thought you were in Austin for some reason. Sorry. I have a good buddy in Houston. His name is Dan. Do you know him? He works at a supermarket. good guywashing machine wrote:Yeah, feels that way. I used to travel to Austin often when my gf lived there, but I've always been a Houston guy.The Argonaut wrote:oh, I thought you were in Austin for some reason. Sorry. I have a good buddy in Houston. Supermarkets are weirdly popular places to visit and work around here. If he works in the beer/wine department at an HEB or Whole Foods inside the loop, I probably at least know Dan's face.

Yeah I can't deal with this level of preciousness and bitching. I like my beer to be good quality and served in a glass, and that's really all I give a shit about.washing machine wrote:Are the craft beer communities on your local Facebook and .orgs as pedantic and fussy as the ones in my neck of the woods?

I obviously agree with this, but I don't mind the "cheap" beers sometimes. I'm not above drinking a Coors or a Miller Lite or Yuengling Light, or something similar. Sometimes I like cheap and easy, especially if the quantity is gonna be high. Those beers fit that purpose just fine.Orpheus wrote:Yeah I can't deal with this level of preciousness and bitching. I think we've talked about this before, but what is everyone's favorite cheap beer? Got any acceptable local cheap brews? Like around here we can get National Bohemian (Natty Bo). It's not great or anything, but I'd get it over a Bud.
