I'm working my way through this thing and s2 picked up towards the end nicely. I thought ""The Zillo Beast" and ""The Zillo Beast Strikes Back" were pretty good and showed what a dick Palpatine really is. The "beast" part didn't really matter as much as what Palps was plotting. I thought the episodes gave good insight into his character.
The run in season 3 from: "Nightsisters", "Monster", "Witches of the Mist", "Overlords", and "Altar of Mortis" is a pretty good stretch for this show team.

Yeah. I watched them last weekend. Good run.
Let me tell you, Homer Simpson is cock of nothing!

I still prefer Clone Wars I think. Some far better stories and arcs.
Others have said Rebels feels more Star Wars. It does in places.
But expanding on Obi Wan and Anakin and their relationship and natural banter so well and simply nailing their voices/personalities so well gives it the edge.
I'm not sure. Ezra is still an insufferable little shit. I don't even care for him when the focus is on him cos you know he's gonna make the wrong decision. He's like Jesse from breaking bad. You keep pulling for him hoping he'll do the right thing. No. never does. You have to give up at some point.
Ashoka was certainly a more compelling child character. Ezra needs to fail, and fail in a big way, to support his character. Otherwise the hectoring from his mentor makes no sense (you could make a similar argument in clone wars with Anakin/Obi-Wan). They did this with Ashoka to nice effect.

I don't know about that. Both have their share of annoying, and good characters.
I just watched the Citadel stuff in s3 of the Clone Wars. It was cool to see Tarkin and Anakin.
I think Rebels just has its characters more fleshed out to an extent. They basically all play a role in every episode, where as Clone Wars just bounces around so much. It's basically the walking dead at times... Hey, lets go a month without checking in with Daryl! I mean Anakin!
^ The storyline in Rebels is tighter and more concentrated. CW is kind of a mess, but I gotta say, it picked up nicely towards the end of season 2, and season 3 had a strong finish.
I've never been a huge Boba Fett fan, but that three episode arc featuring his attempts at revenge on Windu is great. Some serious foreshadowing regarding Anakin's emotions versus the zen-like acceptance of the Jedi Order. Windu being salty towards R2 is fun to watch, as well. Also, the pacing of these three episodes is a nice slow burn. One of my favorite arcs so far.

Started s4 last night. Not a fan of these water world episodes, especially coming off that really strong run at the end of s3. The "shark man" in s4 ep1 was awful. Just awful

Yeah, that was excellent. and plo koon (sp?) is my favorite of the secondary Jedi characters.
I'm prepared to say this is better than rebels, which is shocking to me given how I felt at the outset
