Netflix: A Series of Unfortunate Events

Post by B »

Anyone else watching this? My family has been watching it. We're two episodes in.

Neil Patrick Harris and Patrick Warburton are great.

It's really funny, and there is a never ending onslaught of quick sight gags.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

Yeah this looks very bad. Also I think I hate Neil Patrick Harris.

I watched the trailer for this and it looked like a really bad beat for beat rehash of the movie

I never saw the movie. Always assumed it was shit. I thought this could only be an improvement.

If you don't like Neil Patrick Harris, then there's probably no help for you.

Why do they keep defining words? Is that a thing the books do?

Just finished it. Whole family enjoyed it. We're going to get the audiobooks for listening to on car trips.

I don't know if it's been renewed, but there are enough books for 2 more seasons + 1 book.

We've been watching season 2. Even my 9 year old has caught on that the same thing keeps happening over and over, but blame the source material. NPH is still hilarious. He has a great musical number in episode 4. The jokes in episodes 1 and 2 are first rate.

So far, I say it's still enjoyable, especially if you're watching with kids.
